Abstract
Carlos Drummond de Andrade's 1930 "Poema de Sete Faces" with nine different translations from Portuguese into English. Translators include John A. Nist, 1965; Elizabeth Bishop, 1969; Duane Ackerson & Ricardo Sternberg, 1972; Mark Strand, 1976; Jack Tomlins, 1978; Virginia de Araújo, 1980; Frederick C. Williams, 1996; Richard Zenith, 2015; and Anne Connor, 2016. This article provides the subject matter for Anne Connor's accompanying article on these translations.
