Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor). The submission will not be withdrawn once the manuscript enters the review process.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The submission has been prepared for anonymous review.
  • The submission includes a list of up to 5–8 reviewers.

Author Guidelines

Suggested Length: ~10,000 words

Preferred Editorial Style: Chicago (Notes and Bibliography Style)

Include an abstract of no more than 250 words

Include a set of keywords

Include a list of up to 5–8 reviewers

Upload two versions of the manuscript: 

  • an anonymized version from which any author names, emails, and affiliations have been removed (this version will be shared with reviewers)
  • a version which includes author details (this version will not be shared with reviewers)
