Abstract
The original French text, titled Mémoires d’outre-mer (MOM), was published by Gallimard, in 2015. It was awarded the “Franz Hessel” Franco-German prize for Contemporary Literature, a prize shared with Das bessere Leben by Ulrich Peltzer. It also received the first “Athéna” literary prize presented in Saint-Pierre, La Réunion, on September 1st, 2017.
