Yoly Zentella

Abstract

Abraham, S.J. (2012). The Eternal War: A Psychological Perspective on the Arab-Israeli Conflict. Lanham: University Press of American, 144 pp.

Field, S. (2012). Oral History, Community, and Displacement: Imagining Memories in Post-Apartheid South Africa. NY: Palgrave Macmillan, 221 pp.

The two books under review, Abraham's The Eternal War: A Psychological Perspective on the Arab-Israeli Conflict, and Field's Oral History, Community, and Displacement, have as focus the victims of apartheid. Abraham includes the Palestinians as players in a complex historical conflict where they often have no voice, where Field discusses the application or oral history to address the impact of apartheid on displaced Capetown communities.
